Those Damn Scratches
« on: 03 February 2007, 08:54:58 »

How Do Everyone!

I bought ny 3rd Omega last week, picked it up after it had cleaned from top to bottom and
it looked in showroom condition.

A few days have now passed and I have begun to notice a few hairline white scratches
on the boot and the bonnet.

I have tried on previous cars to cover these up using colour magic or similar products
without much success.

Does anybody know of any good products or any tricks up their sleeves that will show
me how to disguise these scratches. The colour of my car is jade green.

Many thanks

I have a few scratches as well, left by vandals.  :'(

I used Vx paint to cover it up to prevent water ingress etc. Some suggested here applying several layers so that the paint is proud above the surface, then using extra-fine wet-and-dry paper (1200) to bring down to paint level, then use T-cut etc… - I have all the ingredients (including the 1200 paper which is not easy to get hold of..) but did not dare tackle the job yet. :(
