General Discussion Area / How can i feel this bad about selling a car ?

For the past 8 years i've had a Ford Galaxy which we've used as a second car when we needed to go out as a family - trips down to Cornwall or up to the northumberland coast etc , we decided that as the 2 biggest kids do their own thing now, time had come to sell the Gal ,it was advertised on flea bay, sold, and today-collected , couldn't believe how bad i felt as i watched my baby being driven off, anybody else felt this way when they've sold a car ?
Dropped the boy off at uni yesterday , felt terrible leaving him there , missus was sniffy all the way home ,my comments about lads the same age in Afghanistan facing much worse didn't ease her mood , anybody else been through the same and how did you cope?
My boy got his results today -he's happy as larry -off to Manchester Uni in a few weeks time, he's the first one in our family to actually get to uni-which proves what a bunch of retards we are ! . Must be great to be young and full of enthusiasm, instead of being a crabby old tw*t like me!
Nice day here so i thought i'll sit in the garden for a bit of sun, every body in the area seems to be cutting the grass, playing music,shouting at each other,what's the matter with people,can nobody do anything without being so BLOODY LOUD!!
