The petrol Corsa is about 12 years old, has done 4 miles since last years MOT. Been SORN since
Battery was flat as a pancake but now charged up. Been stood outside for last twelve months.
-
I voted 'other'. As I expect brake issues, especially handbrake.
-
Forgot to say handbrake was stuck on but that and foot brake were warmed up on our private test track yesterday.
-
Emissions, unless you gave it a
n Italian Spanish tune up on your private test track. :)
-
Why emissions- because it has been standing so long? It is a petrol.

Putting my tin foil helmet on, I think that the new MOT rules and regs are designed to take older cars off the road whether they are petrol or diesel. ;)
-
I would agree with you. So what might have been fine last month fails this test.

Which is why I put both my cars through before the new laws came in. ;)

Do you guys not use Stevie Wonder's MOT garages? ::)
They struggle find the car, let alone fail it.

Just bring some Spanish plates over in your luggage.

How will that help?

It was a pass with the same advisories as last year. Happy days
-
It shouldn’t have the same advisorys as the whole point of an advisory is that they advice you to get it fixed ::) ;D

Agreed. Problem was that we hadn't been back for over 12 months. Still not sure what to do now. Next door neighbour wants to buy it!

You need to weigh up the cost, of keeping it, and renting when visiting blighty, could you not sell to friends, and use when in blighty for a small charge/ or annual mot/service as a fee.

Yep. The big unknown is health of elderly relatives. It has sort of been a quiet 15 months.
