Apparently, he was owed £600 in wages so, naturally, got a bit uppity. The good people of Liverpool have started a just giving page for him and, so far, it has exceeded the wages he is owed.

You couldn't make it up.  ::)

Probably 2 buttons and a milk bottle top.  Just don't ask where he got the latter from.

Yes. They all wear shell suits and have curly perms, and would rob your granny's pension.  ::)

A JCB with a Montabert will allow you to withdraw money from most cash machines if you forget your pin code  :y
makes a mess though  :-\ and the rozzers turn up and try to steal all your hard earned cash  :P
 so don't hang about  :y

Just to add: The unemployment rate nationally is 4.3%, in Liverpool it is 4.8%. Lazy bastards, eh?  ::)

statistics are all well and good but don't take into account
1: how many people in Liverpool are too scared to leave their house and worldly goods to sign on for fear of being robbed .
2: people who make so much cash on the rob that they don't bother to sign on .
3: statistics tend to be from government figures , and get massaged   :-X

Don't blame the fella. If retribution needs dishing out, then dish it out properly.
My old father in laws method with site agents who tried to fiddle him out of his hard earned was to spend 30 seconds making sure they spent a week or two in hospital. Word soon get round that it wasn't a good idea to fiddle him out of his wages.  :)

Its not a very good way to go about it, but being a builder I understand completely.
Good on him for making a stand for others as well. This place was not opened at the time this happened and to be fair £600 is a lot of cash to most people just after Christmas, and to Mess someone around with their pay right now is a surefire way to get a reaction, shame none of the bosses ever experience this S#it. Remind me never to piss off a builder  ;D

Cashflow is king and I'm sure plenty of "little guys" have been sunk by the "big guys" not paying their bills on time. Which Chancellor of the Exchequer was it who said never to pay your bills until the red reminder?
