Just read three news stories, you could probably find them yourself if you wanted to.

1) Lawmakers are being urged to look at the rules regarding radicalisation after it emerged that some chatbots, freely available to all, are advocating jihad. No one can be charged under current laws because there is no human involved.
2) In the first case of its kind, police are investigating a virtual gang rape. A girl under 16 was held down and raped by multiple people while visiting a virtual reality site. These are so immersive that she is suffering in the same way as if she was physically raped.
3) Maybe not so weird, but....An Asian American women has won a payout after she gave birth to two white babies from two different women after a cock up at a fertility clinic.

I'm glad I'm old ☹️
Was a cock actually involved?  :D

Bring back hanging ffs

Can't do that that, as we'd have to leave the ECHR and that would never do!  :-X
Pity that he, and people of his ilk, don't think about the human rights of their victims.

I have toys stored that my parents bought me as a baby,  .... and Scalextric set being a couple of them.

Likewise  :-X

A lot of things have mysteriously dissapeared over the years and apparently my Brother & Sister know nothing.

Mamod Steam Engine and Decent set of Beer mats along with my Psalters Microscope.

Dont know if anyone will remember but from  the petrol stations I got the full Kings & Queens Busts collection from my Dad filling up with petrol.

Plus my Mum collected for me the Chivers Golliwogs (Full Set) Probably a very controversal collection by todays standards.
You'ii probably get a visit from the plod now, checking up on a potential 'hate crime'.  ;D

But as a fellow owner of a JLR product, I am interested to hear what make part they are actually using, and what modification they make, as mine will soon be coming around to need doing again, as some are now approaching 6 years old...

...and having access to the warranty stats, I have a pretty good handle on the expected life and failure modes (generally switches or motor on the genuine part, add a piece of sprung plastic that controls the actuator that activates the switch setup on the chinese equivalent cloned part that is sold as the aftermarket option in the aftermarket network)...

If you want to be helpful, that is.

I have found an aftermarket part for swmbo's Evoque. Allows for simple locking and unlocking from the driver's seat and so far has proved 100% reliable. Also cost £2.99p.

I'm yet to establish why she isn't 100% satisfied...

Perhaps it's the wrong shape.  ;)

Stop moaning you lot, there are some people who won't make it as far as 2024
.
Got lots planned for 2024 starting with a Carribbean cruise in March so got to make it as its all paid for now. 😁

We got back from the Canary Islands two weeks before Christmas. It seemed weird being on a beach with temperatures of 29 degrees when it was so cold in the UK. We were caught in a Force 12 hurricane on the last two days of sailing, which was ………. interesting. ;D
.

We booked the Carribbean while we were on the Canaries cruise in February this year, got to have something to look forward to,then taking all the family to Crete in May something we said we must do before we get too old to enjoy it..🌞🌞🌞
I was talking to my grandson and his girlfriend yesterday and they both agreed that it was very odd having a chrismas when it's close on 40 deg C. They also said that some Aussies have another christmas in June, when it's a bit cooler.

This is what I had to cook to appease the visiting lentil munchers. It wasn't too bad, once I'd put gravy, redcurrant jelly, cranberry sauce with port, mint sauce and half an ounce of salt on it  :)
