For £15? And you'd need two, as there's a big difference between 1/4 and 1/2" drive.

I paid £100 for a 180 piece set from HALFORDS.

The quality 'appears' excellent and it was delivered free of charge. :y

I bought a set like that and kept it for making the 'special tools' that some jobs require which turn out to be £38 for a socket with a notch out of it, or one that's extremely shallow. I've got about 2/3 of the sockets left and they've paid for themselves times over.  :y

I had a knackered toolbox full of old sockets and spanners for the same reason. My V6 timing set came without the 30mm spanner, so I improvised by boring out a 1/2" drive socket to take the relevant torx one for the bolt, and welded on some steel strap to hold the tensioner. Took about 10 minutes and cost nothing.

It feels better bending or shortening an old spanner than a £20 Snap-on one. Welding a socket onto them to make a custom crowsfoot or other limited access spanner works well - I still have an 11mm one for replacing Yak air compressor, which saves about an hour of cramped fingers each time you have to remove and replace one.

Thought you'd made yourself a Snap-On gentleman's pipe for a moment there...  ;D
