Just for the record, the GM Part Number for the spark plugs according to Trade Club:
2.0/2.2 (twin electrode) (GM09) P/N 9195109 / Retail £3.08 / Trade £2.43 / Trade Club £1.73 (+VAT)
And just to re-cap something I mentioned some time ago when I changed my plugs on the V6, while we all know that the GM/Vauxhalls plugs are Bosch re-badged, I was still quite surprised when I saw that the original factory-fitted plugs on my engine were actually Bosch-branded, not GM/Vauxhall...
That's interesting, the one's I took out were badged GM, supposedly changed by the dealer at the last service.
As we are well aware, you should take your car to the dealer to have it serviced properly
Plug 1 must have been just past finger tight.
Plug 2 I thought I was going to have to put an extension bar on it, but it gave in the end.
Plug 3 was just a touch tighter than plug 1.
Plug 4 was just a bit looser than plug 2.
The gaps in each of the plugs I removed were all over the place, and, bear in mind they have only been in for about 4K.
I set all the gaps in the new plugs to the correct tolerance, and torqued them to the correct setting.
All I can say is, what a difference, the car ticks over better, and seems to respond better.
By the way MJ, those prices, each, or for 4?
