Heated Seats Causing Fuse to Blow
« on: 25 January 2007, 22:41:23 »

2.0 Auto CDX on W plate, when switching on the heated front drivers seat, the fuse trips.  This seems to fail the air con too.

Have checked under seat and can't see anything obviously loose.  Any ideas on a fix?

Well, to start with, disconnect the heated seat connector to stop the fuse blowing and help isolate the fault.

If the fuse still blows you knwo its the loom to the seat, if its now ok then its a bottom seat cover off job to investigate further.....do check the visable sections of loom first.

Marks_DTM suggestions are (as always) spot on, but just be a little careful with playing with connectors around seat - don't want any of the SRS system causing you injury.
