pedal trick fault code 0155
« on: 24 February 2011, 14:30:24 »

Can any one explain the 0155 fault code please, my 2.6 cuts out now and again whilst driving, some have suggested the crank sensor but after doing the pedal trick I have 0155 code come up, would this make the engine cut out or is it an additional problem, cheers guys

P0155 relates to the heater circuit of O2 sensor 1 bank 2, so that's the front O2 sensor on the passenger side.

I would start by unplugging that sensor and measuring the resistance of the heater (between the two white wires on the sensor). Typically, about 10 ohms would be a normal reading.

I wouldn't have said this would directly cause cutting out. Normally if the O2 sensor is not responding the ECU would just ignore it and remain open-loop but a look at the live data with a tech 2 might reveal more about what is going on. First job is to measure the resistance and make sure the heater is still intact.
