internal buzzer sounds on door opening

after doing a refurb on the ignition barrel the internal buzzer sounds every time the drivers door is opened this used to happen only if the key was in the ignition or the lights were left on

You will have to retrace your steps and see if you have knocked a wire off or left a cable unplugged.

And also if an indicator is left on, which leaves a side light on on whichever side.

thats a different sound.. at least on mine it makes more like a police siren :P

I don't have an "indicator on" warning,   :-/ (2000 model CDX.)

I wonder if its just the later Omegas then because all the Mini Facelift and early 2000 Facelift ones i've had don't have this feature

Sounds like the "W" contact on the key switch is sticking. Does the barrel pop fully out of its' recess when the key is removed? It might be sticking a little.

It's not an 'indicator on' warning, it's to let you know the parking lights are on.
The parking lights are activated when the indicator stalk is up or down and the ignition is off.
Most Vauxhalls have this feature...
