Just a heads up if anyone is interested it this, was going to look at it when it was up for sale about 6 months ago as sounded good but Only had 1 mot to back mileage but managed to do an mot history check and the previous mots was something like 160k. Been clocked big time.

This seems to be popping up, my old car. Sold it in 2013 and going from the add said i put a recon engine and ar35 gearbox in it..did i f##k! It had minimal paperwork when i brought it and had about 7 previous owners. Also i fitted the leather and the wheels from a friends elite. I also changed the stereo over as the volume button never worked so when turned on said bose on the info display but thats it, i didn't take any of the bose system out of the elite so its a standard radio basicly. rant over

Omega General Help / F/L 2.5 td feels sluggish under 2500rpm?

Hi a friend of mine has a f/l 2.5 td manual, he came round the other day for me to do the brakes. These were done fine but when i test drove it it seems very flat. It gets up to speed okay its just it doesn't seem to have much go. You can hear the turbo whistle. I know they're not hugely powerful but i had an auto a couple of years ago and im sure it pulled better than this. I cleaned the egr and the fuel filter is new. Hes had it years and said he hasn't noticed a decline in performance. It might just be me and its fine but like i say my 2.5td auto and recent 2.2dti felt more pokey.

What are they like to live with, what sort of problems do they have? I had a 2000 2.5td auto which was nice but crap on fuel. They seem quite cheap around £1000 for an 02+
