How many batteries does it have the short run may have pushed it nearer the edge and low voltage does some very unpredictable things...
Just the one, a biggun, in the boot.
Having been and retrieved it, clearly the alternator, or a connection to it is goosed. There's no charge whatsoever and the battery was down to 5v when tested. After a jump and 10mins on charge it was back up at 12 but, when I uncoupled the zafira from it, the voltage just started to drop off. Clearly the drain from the car wasn't being replaced.
So I stuck a known good battery on it, jump started it and drove it home at pace. Not done anything else with it other than check the aux belt is still in place and spinning ,(it is).
Next step is to try and get access to the alternator and check the voltage it's putting out at source.
