In the 90's, I used to go out with a 'trolley dolly' who flew long haul with British Airways, and all she used to go on about was the flights, and where she'd been etc., which got a bit tedious after a while. Not everyone was interested in the slightest, especially as it was seen by some of my friends as 'gloating'. Has a good number of trips away at ridiculously cheap prices with 'staff discount' to places I would otherwise never have visited, but I got tired of her harping on about her job, and eventually I binned her, and  we went our separate ways.....

I only mentioned it because I thought it might be interesting.

Meteorologically speaking, the weather charts for the flight were showing up to 170 knots of Jetstream blowing pretty much straight from the UK to Africa which struck me as unusual, and therefore interesting, especially as I was able to experience it first hand.

I, for one, found it interesting as I have always had an interest in both aviation and weather. Better not mention my first job after school was with BOAC as it might give my age away!
