So why do they need to know how many cars I drive?

So they know how many roads to build/widen/charge tolls on. I'd suggest you write 20 down, that way they'll increase the road funding in theory. Obviously common sense and government are mutually exclusive.

I put the 3 Omegas down
3 F1 Cars (Didnt say they were still in the boxes though) ::)
Dodge Viper :P
911 Turbo ::)
Tamiya RC offroader. 8)

I have a brace of beautiful XJ220. One blue and one silver. Lovely looking things. :y

Mate of mine's Father in Law was the Cheif Engineering Director who pushed jaguar into making that. Told his son in law that it was the worst and most pointless decision he'd made. Should have been concentrating on real products that real people want to buy.

Just looking at options on a house, that we own. Want some real world experience to see if the hassle is worth it.

No...too much hassle and damage.

Is that perception or based on experience?

I've filled in 2 of them.  >:(

It could have asked of my second home : How many days other than the 21st Haven't you spent at this address in the last year?
(340)

It might have asked: Are you PAYE, Umbrella, or Ltd?

Quite a lot of people just wear latex gloves now, maybe barrier cream first.

I wear nitrile gloves and a thicker workflow over the top.
And clean my hands with normal pump soap with ca spoon of brown sugar.

Debt as a percentage of gdp was 114% in 2020, it was 240% after the Second World War. We got by, because everyone else was in the same position, as most are now.

If the yanks had really wanted to help they could have let us off. ::) ::)

Are we still paying it back?

Last payment was made in 2006 I think !
Have we paid for the Mersey Tunnel yet?  ;D

Which one ? I pay every time I cross, although since they built the new Runcorn.Widnes bridge it's quicker to avoid going into Liverpool. Unless the bit of the Wirral I'm visiting involves buying a stainless Jetex from Wallasey..

I Once had an Astra Mk3 which would idle fine, but about 3000 Rpm would be enough to rotate th e damaged ceramic inside the cat box, so it now was cau s ing a blockage..

I thought about the MG but was worried about build quality

It will be under warranty for the duration of the lease.  If something.goes wrong you get a.courtesy car and get to.ravk up.miles without eating into.your mileage limit.
Win win I'd say.
Plus I hear good things about the electric mg - it has a good range.

My 3,2 Elite has cost £17,951 over 8 years now to buy then maintain to the best levels possible.

Wow. Just wow. I think and I accept I could be wrong, but I think you've spent more on your Omega than I have on every car I've owned, including maintenance for the last 25+ years. It's a close call if I could include the insurance I've paid in that time as well.

Credit to you for keeping a car you want running. But when it's put like one lump sum, it seems an awful lot.

EDIT - No I couldn't get the insurance in that as well.

I guess much of that cost us because main dealer prices ?

I bought my 3.2 MV6 for not much money in Sept 2016.

I've taken it from 163k to 230k and spent probably £2k on it including tyres. Mixture of DIY and Back street repaired.  Mixture of trade club Vauxhall parts and eBay specials.

It has only let me down.twice.  once due to poor maintenance.  (Solid discs got fitted on the back and somebtimeblater a piston came out too far and pissed brake Fluid all.over the road) once due to a leaking radiator.
My biggest expense has been fuel.  If  I had bought any Deisel car, I'd have been less.poor than I the am.now. I reckon £6k could have been saved. But then my previous diesel cost £5k in depreciatelion over 4 years so it's fine.
