Talking Of Big Pick Ups
« on: 11 January 2024, 16:34:15 »

Who knew that the Ford F150 is available in right hand drive?  ???  :o

This 2022 example is 'only' £83871.87 (at todays exchange rate) plus shipping, import duty, VAT and sundries.  :)

I think it would be a fun run about for lottery winners!  ;D

There's one that I've seen local a couple of times, nice bit of kit but certainly doesn't sound like a V6, it's got a thunder graphic along the side & it certainly lives up to it.

Here's another one and this one has a 6.2ltr motor in it.  :)

I reckon you'd need your own petrol tanker following you around...  ;D

I was going to say that's got to be a Raptor. 8) rent a place in Cape Town for six months, buy the Raptor, and when it gets chilly, drive it home :y

A nice little add on if you want the Raptor to have a little more spring in its step😁

Well... I think it would be preferable being at the front of the 20mph parade in that than stuck in that behind someone else... >:D

I wonder if it's capable of trundling along Welsh style at 20mph even at tickover.  :-\  ;D

We have a Raptor at work (full fat), interesting lump, very agricultural with a hell of a lot more power than the chassis can do anything with, bloody huge though

I remember the first Rangers turning up and how big they appeared to be. Now if you put one of the originals[if you can find one] at the side of the later ones it looks absolutely tiny!

My mate has a 20 reg Ranger that he tows his caravan with, his wife is one of those who takes everything away " just in case" the amount of excess items he carries around in it is totally ridiculous, he has only got the 2.2 which appears underpowered to me, they followed us down to Devon last year the RR was on cruise at 55mph and every time we came to a hill he lagged way behind.

I've never understood why Ford didn't sell the Everest, which is the car version of the Ranger in the UK.  :-\  I'd have thought it would have sold well if pitched correctly against the Discovery etc.  ::)

And the earlier version.

They're very popular in South East Asia and I've seen loads going around in Thailand and Vietnam.  :)

Much bigger though. About the same size as a Ranger, which it is pretty much.

Not dissimilar to the Hilux/Four runner combo or Nissan Pathfinder/Navara :y
