Austin Mitchell one time reporter/presenter on the local news programme Calendar and then MP for Grimsby for 38 years.Was that passionate about the fishing industry in Grimsby he changed his name to Haddock! Aged 86.

Another part of my early childhood gone.  Listening to their great songs, from the age of Buddy Holly, on my parents wireless in our back room, with it's warmth and glowing dial window, is such a soothing memory that I still cherish. Then the World changed with my disappearing childhood. ;)
