Yes 2W (Might be 2.1W that are standard IIRC), you will find 3W are far too bright and will be totally out of balance with all the other dash / console / screen illumination.

Change all of the bulbs, not just the blown ones. They're only a few pence each.

You miss-understand me - at night you'll find the dash cluster is far too bright compared to the rest of the dashboard - ie. Centre Console, CID display (if you have it) which is backlit in a different way to the other screens and does not have bulbs fitted to the rear, transmission etc, so what you find is you use the dimmer to correct the brightness level and when you get it dim enough to not be distracting at night, the rest of the areas mentioned before aren't illuminated enough. Hope that makes sense!

No I'm with you, the first thing I do when driving a new to me car in the dark is to turn the panel dimmer down as far as it will go; I hate bright dashes. But if you only replace some of the bulbs, the difference in lighting will drive you crazy. I once replaced all the bulbs in a Capri dash because it was out for another reason(probably the heater fan ::) ), and they were so bright I put the old ones back the following day.

Take them into a motorfactors. If I did that now, it would be back together before lunch.

Okay been to 5 motor factor shops near me this morning
To no avail, they all act like I’m mad insistent on that they only come in 5 watt form and are used
For sidelights, but the last one bothered to look on his system they do come in 2 watt but have to
Order them in so now I have to wait, but on the up side I did manage to get the multifunction display ones from vx dealer so that was a result 👍
