uncomfortable seats
« on: 06 April 2007, 21:03:35 »

Does anybody else find the leather recaro seats hard and uncomfortable...have just bought no 3 omega ..this one is elite and has recaro leather seats fitted..they have thigh support extensions which after a while seem to make your legs go numb and the seat pad and side supports are not a pleasure to sit on...had old style fabric seats before in my cdx and remember could drive for hours and feel fine when got out of car..but these ???just wondering if any one else had comments...as seriously thinking about exchanging them for either standard leather type or fabric...any swaps out there??

are the seats really hard or soft like leather should be...just the old guy i bought the car from must have only weighed in at 7 stone and i must be double that so they obviously have not had a hard life..car has only done genuine 70k on a R plate so very little use aswell....just not sure if they should be so damn hard

They are sports seats, so will be harder. Same with any car with sports seats. Leather is not necessarily soft ;)

Personally, I have done 1000 miles a day on a number of occasions with just normal breaks, and never suffered...

lol.

Different seats suit different drivers.  The seats are not at fault, they are designed to be stiffer and supportive.  It is, alas, just they don't suit you for some reason :(

i must admit i did not find the recardo seats in TheBoy's MV6 very comfy... but i did not want to adjust them...i suspect they will be fine after i set them up for my needs. (ie off short person mode  ;D)

I generally find cloth Omega seats more comfy i slide around less!  ::) ... the leather ones lack a little support i find.

If they're grey with side airbags I'll swap you my memory seats!

Didn't try the MV6 tight-support seats, but the standard Recaros are the best seats I ever had... I can drive 3-4 hours and feel very very comfortable. Most other cars (especially Mercs1) are too soft for me, giving me backache after a while.
