Some new bits for the car

Arrived yesterday, new boot gas struts, current ones are a bit manky/rusting so get shot of them and new rear track control arms, originally ordered lemforder then they stated unavailable so ended up with these Moog ones, fraction of the price under £34, so get these fitted then can get the geometry done

Put some (genuine, Molyslip) coppaslip on the threads before fitting, helps ensure they dont seize.

I often wondered if putting a cut up length of bicycle inner tube and a tie wrap at each end over the adjuster and filling with grease would be an answer... bit like a CV boot arrangement.

The grease filled inner tube bladder seems a very sensible option and think if I was about to replace rear TR,s I would give that a go  :y

Should've done it the last time they were replaced, can't keep changing them out just because they can't get them freed up. Now I know someone had the correct setting for the geometry, sure Marks DTM posted it somewhere, as last time I had it done, said it was wrong.

 SOME!!!!! Unscrew em, and slap it about like it's Free, absolutely bath the Threads in the stuff, and shove loads down the tube.. :y

heat shrink. Glue-filled heatshrink if you're feeling flush.


Personally, I think some sort of anti-seize(copper grease, silicone paste, whatever  you already have) is more than enough
