My CCR2006 is non-Bose, but is useless as I do not have the code and cannot remove it from the car anyway. Will yours work with non-Bose?

Ron.

Thanks James. I will make yet another attempt to remove my radio tomorrow and, if successful, will see if Ray's radio is still available. No point in asking if I cannot remove the old one.
Um, Serek couldn't remove it, so I may also fail!

No, it will switch On and make a noise, but wont be suited to a non Bose system as the Bose HU's are configured with a lower speaker output level (less than a Watt) which the purpose is to feed the input of the Bose Amp.

This ^ is also my understanding.

So it's basically a Line Output, requiring a subsequent power amplifier, yes?
Pity; but I've lived without the radio for many years, so.....

No, its a Speaker Output (Unscreened Balanced) but at very low level, which as you say then feeds the Bose Amp, its just Bose's way of doing things making it totally incompatible with any other make or setup.

As said you will get something out of the speaker feed but quiet a few db's down over normal, not much help once you go over 20 mph.
