I haven't been on the OOF for ages  :'( Re personnel problems
I have had 3 Carltons and 5 Miggies over the years and needed another but I could not get a decent Miggy so I bought a different car. I've had the car for a while now so I became a member of another forum a few weeks ago.
I think you can guess what the forum theme was by my avatar. God they're boring on there ::) Or is it me, an age thing?  I must admit it probably is me.:-\ I must say though credit where credit is due, there is a lot of knowledge of the car on the site.
Maybe because we're a bit older on the OOF ( and the cars ), makes the OOF more interesting and also everyone has more of a sense of humour.:y :y
You have got to laugh at the Miggy sometimes or you would slash your wrists. They have always got a surprise for you when you think they're running well.
There is always someone chatting on the OOF what ever the time of day or night and will always have an answer for what ever Miggy problem you have :y
I've missed the banter so I'm back now  :y

My Miggy is poorly so has to go. I have had three Carltons and 4 Miggies over the years. I have been looking for a decent Miggy to replace this poorly one. She caught me looking at Miggies on the tinternet and dropped this bomb shell, quote " If you bring back here, another Omega I'll set fire to it" :'( :'( :'( :'(
So I bought a Vectra 3.2 GSI, I daren't tell her its got a Miggy engine. ::)

Cars for Sale & wanted / F/S 2.5 CDX Auto
« on: 09 March 2012, 18:52:37 »
I have an x reg 2.5 CDX Auto with 117k on the clock. Cam belt changed at 85k. 4 new tyres 6months ago
I have just had the cam cover gaskets renewed and the thermostat replaced, about three weeks ago. The car ran like a dream up untill this point but the mechanic power washed the engine when he changed the gaskets :'(. The car ran OK but differnt warning lights pop on and off.I haven't used it for the past week as I travel all over the UK and I cannot take a chance with the car. I haven't got the time to go through all the electrics to sort the problem. So if anyone is interested in the car please PM me, any reasonable offer would be considered. :y

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Sensor on the flywheel
« on: 19 February 2012, 19:00:42 »
Hi Guys, its along time since I've been on the OOF  :'(
Still got my Miggy but some idiot at my local garage power washed the engine. I have a problem with the sensor on the flywheel, I think, throwing up an error. My question is where can I get one and whats it called? All I can find on tinternet is a crankshaft sensor, is this what I want?  :-\

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Plugs on ABS
« on: 17 May 2010, 17:04:48 »
On the ABS ecu are two plugs, one is a two pin and the other is a multi core plug.
Question is do these plugs pull straight out or is there a catch or something that has to be released. The multi plug is tight!

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / ABS sensors
« on: 08 March 2010, 17:43:39 »
My Miggy is off the road at the moment with a few faults that will stop it passing an MOT. >:( :-*
1. The low beam FLD warning ( This I can do using info found hear) ;)
2.Hand brake button broken.
3. ABS ecu not working, nor speedo and cruise etc.
Question is about ABS ecu/ sensors
After reading the advice here about removing the ecu. It states check the ABS sensors for dust etc first. Where are the sensors and are they easy to get at. :-?
I really hope I have crap on the sensors as it will save me a lot of work. :'(
Also I know its not electrical but how do you fix the new hand brake button? [smiley=dankk2.gif]

Omega General Help / Parked Miggy
« on: 06 June 2010, 14:21:14 »
Anyone know a way to get my auto car out of the parked position. I need to move the car just to the end of the drive. I have had to remove the battery plus various connections, whilst removing the ABS ecu and I don't want to reconnect all the electrics. :'(

Also is there an easy way to remove the hand brake lever as I need to fit an new button to it?  :y
