Apparently we are giving the Afghans millions of pounds of supplies and equipment! :o :o :o :o

Apart from the cost to us, what happens if that falls into "enemy" hands? ??? ??? :P :P

We didn't 'finish the job' that the Victorians started 150odd years ago. The Russians couldn't manage it either. Neither of them were afraid to do anything they could, but were still unsuccessful.
Nothing good comes out of this sort of intervention, which is something politicians forget.
