Kitchen appliances.....
« on: 06 December 2016, 18:13:23 »

Had to buy a new microwave/oven combi a couple of weeks ago....as the old combi oven had started to make a noise like a jet engine when in convection mode.....well impressed so far with new one, so far. Old one in convection mode used to take nearly 10 mins to get to 180C and sounded like a jet engine as well.....new one gets to 180C in less than 2 mins  :y

I threatened the dishwasher it was going to the tip and the end of last week as it was misbehaving.....nearly bought a new one this weekend.....but didn't as the one I wanted I would have to order......since I threatened the old dishwasher its be on 4 times and behaved its self every time  ::)

Maybe I should have threatened the old microwave as well  ;D ;D

TD, I have two questions: what threats did you use on your dishwasher, because my combi-oven takes at least as long as your old one.
In case the threats don't work, what model is your great new one?

Told the dishwasher it was going to be turned into baked bean tins.....but that might not work on a microwave...as its a different breed  ::)
New one appears to have a halogen heating element in it.....so guess that's why it heats up so quick  :y

Ah yes, different breed......I could always threaten to turn it into body panels for an Omega; it's stainless steel too, so no rust!
You still didn't say what model, so that I can go looking - after the xmas wallet-draining period, of course.

This one ...

Just noticed tho....they've stuck up the price by £10

It was £59.99 when I bought it ... but got it for £49.99  :y (Its not my fault if a spotty yoof on the till reckons 12x £5 notes are £70 and gives me £10.01 change  ;D :D )

Looks good TD apart from the 180 degree max. oven temperature - my wife likes things "crispy"!

It goes to 210C not 180C (you can have temps of 140/160/180/200/210)

Oh and just remembered you get a £5 argos voucher with it as well  :y
