Of Owen Paterson fame?  ;D

Could be... Tbh I couldn't give a flying fig about the chosen company or the quality of service, all I was after was the confirmation number that means I can fill in the passenger locator form and get back to the UK.

Not suggesting you should have done.  :)

It might have been lost in the hysteria, but maybe one of the reasons that Owen Paterson recommended Ranox was because they are competent and do a good job.  :y

As well as being on their payroll!  ;D

It has been suggested that the rate of spread makes testing pointless as apparently cases double in the time it takes to process the results.

That was on Sky News so can clearly be considered accurate and factual  ::)

If the projected growth rate is to be believed, ie doubling every 48 hours... Then the current 11.2 million cases would suggest that we will all have it in time for Christmas.

And as you can apparently catch it twice, in spite of being double vaccinated and boosted, at what point does learning to live with it become just that? Christmas Eve? Next Christmas? Never?  :-X

If ever there was a justification for removing all restrictions, this surely must be it...

Dream on.  The only talk I'm seeing this morning is of a two week lockdown after Christmas...  ::)

If this turns out to be true, then they will never accept that we have to live with this thing!  >:(

Even if it means your lad can't come home until an undefined date in the future?

Well that's not going to happen as we didn't and won't close our borders.  ::)

Unlike Australia and New Zealand who still have thousands of their citizens stranded overseas, which is utter madness!  :o

Anyway even in the worst case scenario all the lad has to do is float across the channel in a dinghy and claim asylum on the basis that he has to live with Uncle STEMO!  ;D

Although they must be running out of 4 star hotels by now?  :-\

Not much point to another 2 week lockdown  ::)
The stupid people of the UK ( a good 50% by my reckoning  :-X) will just see it as an extended Christmas break ,more parties and visiting relatives, extra days of shopping at the sales ,but they won't bother wearing masks or any other Covid countermeasures  >:(

Happy Christmas  for next week
commiserations in advance for 2022

Well don't try going to the Netherlands as they're going into hard lockdown tomorrow until 14th January.  :o  ::)

I assume that's 14th January 2022, but I could be wrong!  ;D

It will come. Download the Royal Mail app, it will let you track it if they've given you a number.
