To be honest I used silver Tcut on a very badly scratched bonnet.  Some of the scratches were just above primer level and u can't tell any were there now.  It took a couple of hours but was very pleased with the finish and well, for me, the benefit was it's a known product.

I have used the coloured polishes, with some success in the past. :)

I use Quixx and have had some good results.

I've removed some bad scratches from my old Corsa and a few from the Mig as well.
