Am i right in thinking that the heat reflective one will not give the top dash sun sensor any problems or the facelift sav nat set up

He lives with his folks, has no outgoings of any consequence, so the 'wait til pay day' is confusing, tight sod ;D

Tunnie, you will have to pay windscreen excess only. Not your normal excess, nor will it affect NCD

Its a valid reason, every month i (well try to) put everything i would pay on mortgage, and other bills into savings, and i don't touch it unless i really have to, so put a good chunk of money away this month, windscreen can wait few more days  :)

OE Facelift sat nav will be fine as it uses the roof mounted antenna. However anything that uses an internal antenna directed through the windscreen will have an issue.

I think Tech II can adjust the climate ecu's interpretation of the solar sensor data for cars with heat reflective screens.

Cool thanks Andy  :y....may put that on the list ;) ;). Mine has a crack at the very bottom under the wipers. No big deal but if i do get a new one will go for a heat reflective one as a gift to the car ;D
