I've attached the new O/S sill to the Metro this afternoon, but rain stopped me from completing the welding. Hopefully I'll do that tomorrow, along with the small repairs in the boot floor, and wheel arch. Then it will be ready for an MOT next week.

I should then replace one of the Omega sills, but I doubt I'll actually do so

Replaced the new failed Nightbreaker that exploded.
Then had to do stop tail, washer fluid and oil then refit the lower sill strip on SWMBO Mundano again as she keeps kicking it off with her clumsiness

A mild, non-fatal dose of manflu prevents me doing anything to any of the cars

Replaced the rear brakes.
Wondered what I've done to displease $deity such that he has sentenced me to work on drum brakes in 2017. ::)

I am unsure which is worse - Omega drum parking brakes, electricaly actuated discs or the cable actuated calipers on VAG cars (including SWMBO'S Galaxy and previous Golf).

At least the Omega brakes can be bodged by mere mortals. The calipers seem to be rendered scrap when they stop working.

True enough. Could be worse, and it'll probably soon be impossible to avoid daftness like electric handbrakes.

Oh, and I noticed one of my less than a year old B4 rear shocks is oil misting. >:(
