So after all these years they finally got him! 

The Mail are reporting that he was stabbed 15 times and once in the neck, but apparently he's not fatally wounded.

On the BBC's R2 news earlier, they did a very sniffy piece about him with some 'expert' saying that people had died because of the book, Satanic Verses that he wrote in the 1980's and implied that it was his fault. 

How about they discuss the irrational response to Rushdie's book from the Islamic world, including the fatwah issued by Iran's Supreme Mad Mullah?
