What model of Omega do you have? Facelift cars have push-on/push-off buttons in the back like the PREface lift cars but the the fronts have a switch that allows 3 different settings unlike the preface lifts which look & opperate the same front & back.
ok i`m getting my cars mixed up here,,, the omega as the same switches front and rear,,, its a 1996 on a P 3L elite,, i tried pressing them again and now notice that the rear ones seem to come on without touching,,, ?????? there must be something wrong ,, plus i`ve also noticed tha ton the heater controls the back lights only work on the left 2,, i saw them all working before,,, are they easy to take out or as the whole wooden facia got to come out as well? maybe that should be posted on another Q,,,

the rear ones work fine,,, its the front switches in a row in the dash below the heater controls that are the problem
Yes I know. I wonder if someone has been playing & fitted rear seat switches to the front.
oh right  get what you mean now sorry,, i would say the switches are standard,, the rear ones look a different type,,, same as my calibra ones.

Seems something could be wrong, I switch mine on and the light stays on until I press it again to turn off.
What the problem is I ain't got a clue other than a switch, but if both do it?  :-?
Some one will be a long soon mate who will know :y

cheers matey,,, with both doing i thought maybe they only work when something else is on like heater or such,,,

hiya all,, sorry to hijiack someone elses question ,,
i had a knocking on the front o/s front suspension so i changed the lower arm as i knoe these wear alot with living in a area with hundreds of road humps,,,
it was badly worn but i`ve still got a noise bit louder than a rattle on that front side,,, do you lads think it could be the drop link then????

Newbie Welcome Area / hiya,,, just got a myself a 3L omega,,
« on: 12 February 2008, 19:04:30 »
hello there,,
i`m heavily into calibras,,, own a turbo 4x4 and a V6 at the moment,,, had 7 in all,,, i wanted to put a 3L into the 2.5L calibra so managed to get myself a mint P reg omega at the weekend with the view of pulling the engine out and breaking the rest of the car,,,, but having drove it i`m changing my mind!!!!!
fantastic drive,, smooth and powerful and lost count of how many buttons its got!! ha ha
been to vauxhall and got new pads all round which i`ll be fitting at the weekend along with a new front lower arm,, vauxhall wanted over £150 just for the arm!!!! managed to find one for £30 from the local motorspares shop.
welcome any advice anyone is willing to give about these very comfy cars.
 cheers.

hiya,
it looks green to me, they are against my kitchen radiator and green is the colour i`m seeing,
the passenger window as a very small scratch which i only noticed when i polished them!! ha ha.
but you are a long way away,
it would of been nice to see them go to good use but i`ve made a point of getting rid of parts, they were taking over my house

hiya,
firstly sorry for putting this in this help section but i don`t have enough posts for the for sale section.
i recently changed my doors on my 2002 cdx saloon and have taken all the window/glass out, no use to me and havent got room to store them so is there anybody out there who wants them FREE? i`ll be taking them to the tip at the end of the week.
thanks

hiya,
are you selling the turbo unit complete or are you selling the full engine?
 cheers.

would anybody know if the older 2.5s are as good on fuel? there are alot more fully loaded ones for sell.
