It's those greedy loathsome  Builders
I bet they live in a bunker ,HIGH up on the top of a hill ,with ZERO chance of flooding  >:D
That sounds like a confession... Do you require a priest? :D

Are you saying if I give all my ill gotten gains to the church and say sorry hat all will be well with the world  :-\

newsflash !
the church is corrupt  :-X
by the time builders pay all the back handers to councils  etc they end up poor ,
And probaably have to drive round in 20+ year old Vauxhalls   :P

There's a new housing development built by Bovis down the road in Seaton, Devon where they built on the floodplain of the River Axe, however before they started building they brought in tonnes and tonnes of sand to raise the ground up.

A friend bought a new house there right on the edge with lovely views over the fields and the river, and her house is probably ten feet above the ajoining field and the development doesn't flood.  :y

I bet the fields further upstream flood a lot more than they used too though, especially at high tides.  :-\
