Hi guys,

This is it, Ive just brought my Omega replacement my 2010 Vauxhall Insignia 2.0 CDTI 160 is awaiting my Collection so my much beloved DTi needs a new Home

She has extensive part lists aswell as other upgrade items as most of you will know

My Progress So Far Picture album has had alot of views so im hoping the car is known by now.

Since she had had the MV6 Bumper sprayed and put on. and also reached 199900 Miles she smokes abit on start up but this is down to a sticky EGR Valve and the Intake manifold need cleaning,

She is Decatted, and the Turbo has been modified so it kicks in quicker,

She had recently been Terracleaned as some of you will know and is genreally in good condition, 2 brand new tyres fitted last week and the other two were fitted last August.

She is a cracking car and will plod alojng for many more miles yet.

Im asking £600 but im open to offers due to the mileage and The EGR valve issue, she had had extenisve parts and servicing done by myself and has been washed religiously every Saturday (or sunday depending on Weather)

5 Months Tax and 11 Months MOT

Any questions just ask

Hi guys as some of you may recall I'm restoring my much beloved mk3 astravan and ive come across a asmall issue

I need a part number of a vectra b rear disc splash plate it is a 4 bolt with abs in the centre which also holds the return spring for the handbrake

Driver side one on astra has corroded to hell and now the plate just bends when applying the handbrake so needs replacing but needs a heads up on part number

Thanks in advance

General Car Chat / My Date with Terraclean
« on: 20 April 2013, 19:03:12 »
Hi Guys,

For those who watch Car Restoration and repair programs on Discovery you might have seen Edd China's adverts for Terraclean i had some Close Friends recommend this 'Revolutionary' Cleaning agent,

Being my DTi has now just clocked 197000 Miles  ::) i thought what the heck ill give it a shot, So i had it booked in for Today through a Trade Friend and thought i would share my input

Yesterday (Friday) i did the Lower Decat on the DTi which was a good thing as it doesent hold any precious metals infact its just very tightly packed Aluminium foil.

(Before you get bored Read on as there is something in it for you)

The car performs so much better its lost a flat spot in low down revs and also lets the turbo spool quicker. So thats good However i still knew theres more to be achieved

So decided to have the Terraclean done

The mechanics at the Terraclean place was intreiged as the'ye 'never come across a Diesel Omega' but then i was introduced to the technician who was working on my car and he has Previous experience working for Vauxhall and Apologised for the IQ of the other technicians  ;D he went straight to the fuel injection feed and return and couldnt have been more efficient, Nice lad who noticed my Omegaowners.com sticker in the rear window, He disappeared for a moment and then reappeared and we starting discussing OOF

So the car run on the Terraclean solution for just under the Hour and the Engine note did change several times and he proved to me that the Carbon Deposits were being removed by a simply removing the exhaust extraction for a moment and showing me the black deposits flying out  :o

NOW...

For all of you that are interested the Technician and his Boss have said anyone who wishes to have the Terraclean service done if we go in a group they will give us a nice % discount  :y I dont work for them so not promoting or anything like that before people start getting upset i am purely a customer of there work who is impressed with results and they gave me this Offer purely as i am Part of this Owners Club

General Car Chat / Towing question
« on: 16 March 2013, 22:26:26 »
Hi guys and girls,

I'm curious I'm looking into getting either a transporter trailer or towing dolly but I only got my license in 2010 so does this mean I have to get a different type of licence to tow a dolly with a project car on?

General Car Chat / Clutch or Dual Mass
« on: 12 March 2013, 21:54:34 »
Hi guys I know I seem to be forever typing on here and some people may be sick of seeing my name pop up and I'm truly sorry for that but being a car enthusiast this is what I like to do and like many people have said previously this is a nice environment to chat random crap or very informative up to date Miggy talk.

My latest issue is under heavy acceleration the revs seem to stay the same when I release the clutch pedal it doesn't seem to release fully so the revs don't match the speed is this a worn clutch (196k baring in mind) or a dual mass issue there is no unusual noise no ticking or grinding the pedal has always been a high release since Ive owned it but I haven't driven another manual Miggy to compare

Thanks for the help Guys

Sam
