rear headamp level sensor wiring

while jacking my car up the jack slipped and caught the level sensor the arm looks to still be connected the only thing i could see that looked damaged was the wires going to the sensor were looking squashed against the wish bone is the section of loom available or would it be best to repair it ?

Repair. From Memory it is on piece back to the controller in the O.S. Wing. Only 3 wires. However if you haven't had the fault come up on the display you may of got lucky

thats how i know i have damaged something as i have the fld/vision message of doom  :-\

Took me bloody hours to suss out what was wrong with mine. Had two broken wires touching together getting me right in a pickle. Best break out the soldering iron

Best break out the soldering iron
so a couple of bullet connectors and sticky tape wont work then ? lol ;D ;D ;D ;D

Only if you use 2.5 mm twin and earth house wire  :P :P

Excuse the thread hijack - I picked my car up from the garage yesterday - they replaced the thermostat.

It immediately showed this error as soon as it started. Anything obvious for me to check?

Often the arm pops off the sensor on the front nearside wishbone.  :-\

The worrying thing is that the fault seems to pop up intermittently. or is that normal for this fault?

Mine came on & stayed on till I replaced the front sensor years ago & hasn't been back on since. Try a squirt of switch cleaner in the plug/socket  :-\

I suppose it must have if the field vision warning is on .....  ;)

Doubt it. OP`s profile states GLS 2.6. No such beast, must be a typo (or typographical error for you Andy) :D
