That's a crowd for an Omega meet ::) I would have been keen to come in the past, but because of the fall in numbers and the crappy drive round the M25 there's not much point for me any more, but have a good one. :y

By pre profiling people that you have never met isn't going to get you very far in the joining in stakes,I bothered to join the AutoBahnstormers of which there is a broad spectrum of ages and body mass indexes, and as far as I know there aren't 'borderline' fruit loops in our local membership.I can also confirm that many of them are knowledgable, capable owners who have spent many hours/money spannering on their cars and are happy to bring their cars to the shows and meets to raise money for the various charities etc. Perhaps a reboot on your thinking as to why we give up our time and money to own cars that bring in large crowds at any of the venues we attend.....BTW we don't wear anoraks nor do we talk about cars all the time, also subject matter is everything but cars usually. ::)

After the meet,Rob and myself gave the V8 and my 3.2 a bit of a workout going back down the A12,that V8 doesn't mess about......totally out accelerates the 3.2 even on a side by side 50 mph+ rolling start.Going to have to get it up to a Thunder road meet and put it up against the boy racers...and maybe my VXR8 which is now running 640 bhp. :y

Have had the same problem, never have been able to log in,but because I attend the meets etc I can catch up on any important club issues if the need arises.Seems that quite a few people are having the same problem.  :-\

Omega General Help / Re: Where have all the 3.2’s gone?
« on: 09 January 2018, 18:22:55 »
I still have two 3.2's and a 3.0 and I'm not planning to get rid any time soon,as I still enjoy driving them and never really think about their value...if any.Although having said that,I think I wouldn't mind getting a clone of Robsey's Supercharged V8 Omega estate...absolutely mental :o :y

Two of us would be great, may put the word out on Face Ache as there are quite a few owners on there that seem keen for meets. :y

Will be there with a lone Omega......as usual! ::)

Omega General Help / Re: So I took the cill covers off the 3.2.....
« on: 09 December 2017, 18:30:03 »
Correct Dr G.....BUT! my head has been turned towards the Holden Senator, of which I spied the two that Elite Motors have in stock at their Christmas meet today. Rob's supercharged 5.7 MV6 estate  created a lot of interest amongst all the Monaros and VXR8's.....this one's going to kick some serious arse :y

I took my Elite to Speedweld at Farley Hill, Berkshire,he's not cheap, but he's a fabricator and does ground up restoration work,he likes all the lower interior fittings removed including all carpets. He did a really thorough job including removing the seats....as I say total cost £1500,so not cheap, the other 3.2 is booked in for the new year with only a minor repair to do,looks like I'm keeping them ::)

0-60 is supposed to be around 4.5 secs, but I don't abuse the car as it will tear the tyres up, and tyres are well over £100+ a pop and also I'm still throwing money at the three Omegas as well,so I just drive the car steady without drawing attention to myself....if that's possible in a car that's bright Lime green. 8) ::)

Ooops sorry about the previous post....pilot error. I was just about to say that my VXR8 has just had a little tune up,and it's now running a little north of 640 BHP safely.don't think I'll be buying the Mustang anytime soon. ;)
