I'm 'fairly' sure that's going to be the case, but this limp wristed government is frigging around to the point that I'm not going to burn our UK bridges until everything is cast iron.TBH...I can't wait to spend the kids inheritance  8) ;)

The Greek end, although I'm told it's a lot greener in the North, but until they sort out their differences, or if even if that could ever come about, then it's the South in the plan.SWMBO isn't to sure about the 40-50c mid summer temperatures that our friends have recently experienced, but I think we'll both benefit from the dry climate healthwise. We're waiting to see how the Brexit issue is going to affect the ex pat community, although our friends have already got full residency and work permits since settling there last year. 8)

Nope...no plans to take any of them, because my mate has just shipped out his Espace on a Ro Ro basis and that was £1500, so will probably end up with an Aygo or a similar piece of shite to potter around in......sad prospect really ::)

Not much chance of us moving up to Hoofland, still looking at an island 70miles off the coast off Syria to finish our days. :o 8)

This car has been on Face ache for a few weeks,I have met the guy and had a deal with him for some leather MV6 seats. He seemed a genuine sort of a guy and it appears that he just does a bit of wheeling and dealing in Omegas and their spares.I got the impression that he's quite knowledgable about the cars and I must admit that I keep looking at the car and thinking......but only thinking! ::)

I've put dash cams in all our cars, I just like to sit and play re-runs on the daily attempts on my life......usually averaging one attempt every five miles :o

Just had the same situation as I described in another post, the car was potentially a candidate for the scrappy as the rust damage was extensive, and although the guy who did the repairs was old school and had the skills to do a really excellent and hopefully permanent repair, the bill was  eye watering and has made me realise that I could be spending my hard earned elswhere ::)

Looks like you are well and truly hooked Sam,nice collection of cars and getting harder to find the good ones.I've had a couple of nice 3.2's offered to me recently and also had another one in my sights, but a recent £1500 welding bill on the Elite snapped me back to reality, and now one of the MV6's needs a bit of welding as well....so the Omega money pit scenario continues, but will soon have to rethink wether the fight against the dreaded tin worm is value for money as the cars are virtually worthless.Having totalled up the recent spend on the cars I could have had a very nice, very low mileage VXR Monaro. :-\ ::)

Think you are right Al,will give them a call in the week, not sure how long the welding is going to take, and we have another one lined up for a bit of metal surgery as well...hence the small amount of paint to be do done...and I can't really do that sort of stuff out in the open....a bit late in the year to risk it. :-\

Thanks Al and Tunnie, the Oxford one could be a contender, the Park Royal not so sure about. Thinking about perhaps buying one of Machine Mart's temporary garages and using it for what's needed, and then either stick it on the Bay for a knock down or alternatively donate it to one of the local charities. This last option is going to REALLY piss my neighbours off bigtime....but hey ho! ;D

This is a bit of a memory jogger......can anyone remember or know of a chain of workshops that you can rent space/equipment on a daily basis,as I'm behind on some odds and sods that need doing on my cars. The work is mainly interior stuff but there will be a small amount of paint to be done after they come back from the welder and seeing what the weather is like lately,I thought I would try and rent some space in the dry and get back on track.Any where West/South or South West of London would do,otherwise I'm going to have to leave the work until next year's shitty summer weather. :-\
