OAT type of antifreeze is correct for the Omega and is generally pink (ish) in colour.
Older cars used IAT types of antifreeze which generally was blue but also sometimes green.
They can't be mixed as you say.
When I first got my Petrol Blue 3.2 Elite several years ago, the coolant was blue which made me wonder what was in it. I drained it and flushed it through thoroughly, then topped it up with pure water (we are in a soft water area), ran it up to temp, drained it and flushed it through again, and there was still a slight blue tinge of old coolant coming out, but after repeating it again it was all clear so I then added the correct amount of pink OAT coolant for a 50 / 50 mix and topped the system up with water, and it was pink right through to its last coolant change last year when the cambelt and water pump were done.
Whatever you put in it last time, once it flushed properly, it should get rid of it sufficiently to add the new correct OAT stuff with no concerns.
Set the heater on high when flushing which should help flush the heater matrix too.
