Driving to Luton today and decided to try the LPG again!! never been 100% despite James tinkering with it. Today started off the same, running great then in came the misfire and jerking, switch back to petrol then back, spent a while doing this, then from the boot cam a loud and I mean loud pop, could feel it through car.  It then proceeded to run on LPG exactly as it should.  To that point around 60 miles it had used nearly 3/4 tank, from there on I finished my trip to Luton, then back to Gloucester and still have a bit left, which is what I think it should run like.

After the pop car was totally responsive on LPG, so what could it have been? is there PRV that might have been stuck, which might have prevented a full tank being taken on.

changed and with good service from dealer, stat arrived, went to collect man at counter said sorry it came without gasket, can get it in a couple of hours, not wanting to drive all the way out again asked if they would post it, no problem, only issue meant I was going to be a bit latter in changing it.  That night around 1800hrs knock on door, gasket hand delivered, cant get better than that.  So well done Bayliss Gloucester.

Change stat next day, instant result nice warm car now.  Thanks for comments and advice.

Living near to James has been a bonus, he has sorted several problems for me one of which was the poor performance of my LPG. Good man all round

Omega General Help / Thermostat?

A thought came to me driving back from Pompey about heat and problems associated with it.

Matrix is as clean as it can be, as is rad, when car is static temp reads 90 or above and heat is blissfully red hot, as soon as forward movement takes place temp drops to 80 or below and heat goes, also LPG not happy.  Is this a dodgy stat? if so am I correct in thinking that the 2L is a complete unit replacement i.e. stat+ housing
