......

How I miss the simplicity of past cars with a coil, distributor, contact, leads to each plug witch had a simple connector that was easily changed!  My A40 was a doddle to work on compared to these modern machines!  Are the electrics going to be easier? ;D ;D

I miss points, condensers & dizzys like a hole in the head .... they were a pain in the harris!!

And though I've yet to replace an exhaust on either Smart (different engines), I doubt that's correct. They're not the easiest of cars to work on engine wise

Ah yes, but getting the timing just right after fitting new points/dis etc. gave a certain    satisfaction.

And none are usually a magic bullet to deafness. They are an aid, not a cure.  And usually need lots of adjustments in the first few months, both to tweak them for the patient, and also because the patients brain needs some relearning and tweaking.

Certainly not true of my Phonak RT70, which can be completely tuned individually from the phone app. I find them superb.

Been using 2 x Humax 1100s in different rooms OK for some years, though what idiotic design with the indicator light underneath necessitating sticking a piece of silver paper under the light so it is visible. :o

Wifey just told me that one of her teachers has bought new, Bluetooth enabled hearing aids. The teacher can listen to music from her phone or link them to a Bluetooth enabled tv and turn the volume up on the aids to save everyone else from being deafened by the telly. And much more......

Ive got a pair of Phonak, (due to Shack ear), they are excellent, although I’ve never used the Bluetooth. One tip, buying online (with an audiology report) saved me almost 50%.

Are there any gallows for sale on Ebay. ;D
Ebay ban the sale of inhumane torture equipment

yet allow sales of strictly come dancing, Elton John DVDs etc    :o
As long as humane torture equipment is still OK….

Mercedes should have brought him in for tyres during previous VSC, he would have caught and passed Max.

I was super impressed with the cool timing of the point to eject by the pilot.
Some have auto eject if certain parameters not met. Not sure if this is one.
Edit, I see that has already been mentioned.

I’m not sure if I ever saw Gromit swimming, so please don’t refill until you let him out. 😎

Wifey fancies a soft top motor don't ask me why ! She found a 2001 MGF one owner from new with 7,900 miles at a classic car specialist in Peterborough , wanted to go & view it this afternoon , I stuck to my guns definitely out of the question if it had been the Honda S2000 they also have I may have been tempted.

Daughter bought one new, and at about 20k and 4 years it had all sorts of issues with the coolant system. Having spent hours repairing it, I wouldn’t touch one.

Yup, incestuously involved with, in particular, big developers.  :-X

Or simply.... money talks..

Yes.

But because it wasn't your money that they took, you have no say in what is done with it. The business that you paid, and who gave money to the middleman has that.

All the trade associations that only require a fee to join are just as misleading.

NHBC is a classic example. Given my experience I would recommend never rely on buying a house with such ‘protection’. Insist on RIBA cover.

If so I would be asking for the driveshaft replacement cost back.
