MID language
« on: 07 December 2011, 22:04:09 »

Hey all,
just one maybe stupid question : is it possible to change language on MID and if it is how to do it ?
I have Omega made in Germany and everything is in German ( of course it should be for their customers ) but I am more familiar with English and would like to somehow change it.
Thanks for any hint or info on the subject.
All the best,
Brane

I think the fella wants to have it changed so it reads in English all the time Ralf. Not very practical to PM you every time he pushes the button on the end of the stalk to change from "check brakelight" to "outside temperature" etc. ;) :D

I believe you want to change MID info language from german to slovene...could be done by reprograming it with tech II. It would be fancy  I admit, but I'm happy to preserve Omega in mint condition even with german language MID, though I don't speak german....

Language can be changed from german to english, just need a Tech2 session. And as far as I'm aware, these two are the only options, so it's either german or english.

It depends what display it is. If its a MID or CCRT, it needs Tech2. If GID or CID, can be done via stereo.

Thanks to all of you for info on how to solve the issue. I just found a guy with "a gizmo" and he changed language in five minutes. All done well. Thanks again.
BTW : I found this avatar among all that were offered and I liked it. If anybody is angry that I used it Ill just change it, no problem  :y
