You must be a very muscular man to ride that Tunnie, it looks enormous :o
Not sure I would buy a BMW myself, but then I am still happy with my old Vello :y

Not sure where you're from Ray but we have a Vellocette Dealer/Parts/ shop in our town. Seymours shop in Thame, Oxfordshire has Vellocette Venoms and Thruxton Vellocettes on display.  :y :y

..motorcycles dont kill people,,,,,,  car drivers do....... :'(

Perhaps someone could pass that message on to my Yamaha YZ Moto X  ;D ;D. It does its best to kill me every time I go out on it. Power valve two stroke which has power band either on or off, nothing in the middle. Especially lairy when on tarmac or maybe I'm just too old for it now. ::) ::) :y

As the title says.
I was at work cleaning a ferry lounge when I found an iPhone.
Thought I'd give it to the sprog for his birfday tomorrow when I get back to Liverpool, but it's stopped working.
Anyone know how to fix it??

Ah that's cruel to Jim. Made me chuckle though. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

I've had it for years. Probably down to years of working in a tool room and being complacent about hearing protection. Had all of the audiology tests and scan done. I'm totally deaf in my left ear and the tinnitus is in my left ear.
Mine is always there but you can sometimes switch off to it. It is more apparant when you think about it. My wife says I have selective deafness.  ;D ;D

....and a headset means you have to wear that stupid elephant tusk that bmw drivers love!...................

Most Bmw phones (even paired via bluetooth) are voice command and output is via stereo so no need for a headset. Control for voice command is on the steering wheel if you so wish to make or answer a call.
Not that I took that personally you understand.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D :y

I suppose headset is OK if you jump in and out of different cars all day so it depends what Skruntie wants it for. My old CK-7 does the job in the Omega and is a doddle to fit.  :y

AA for me as they do family cover for my wife, my son and daughter as well as me, regardless of what we are driving. I have to foot the whole payment but it's worth it for my peace of mind.
I left green flag many years ago when they had that stupid rule of recovering you to a garage within ten miles. What use is that.
At least you know the AA will take you all the way home. I've also checked that they will recover my caravan or bike trailer if the car let's me down.
Personal choice I guess, whatever suits your requirements. My priority was cover for the family. :y

I think tyre choice on the omega has alot to do with the way some people have no problems in the snow.

I seriously believe it's down to the profile of the tyre. I'm sure my old Omega Elite with 16" wheels was better at starting off in the snow than my current 17" wheels on my facelift.
We have a slope on our road and my son's Navara D40 flies up it in heavy snow or ice with his 17" standard wheels and General Grabbers fitted but if he leaves his bling 22" summer wheels fitted with low profiles on, it will spin all four wheels as it goes up the hill. Same vehicle with different wheels. Obviously the Grabbers help. ;D

As well as the Omega we have a new bmw 330d M Sport Coupe fitted with the 19" x 30 x 255 rear tyres and in response to your post Tunnie I totally agree. It is appalling in the snow, well it would be if you could get it moving. It doesn't need an incline to halt it as it is reluctant to move on the flat. We just don't even bother trying with it when it's snowing. Omega's not too bad if you can keep it moving.  :y

First off his car is a BMW 330 Ci, it is absolutely appalling! Never seen such bad car in the snow!

Bit embarrassing when some old dear turned up, got in her car and drove out no issues in her 15 year old Pug  :o  ;D  ::)

Going down the A4 which was full of slush, the BMW refused to go in a straight line, constantly stepping out back end, no other cars where having such issues, was just appalling!

Walking was quicker, by far.......

It's when you realise what you've done and brake sharply only for it to hit the other end. ;D ;D

Beemers are ok. I've had a couple, 318i touring auto & a 328i manual coupe, both were good cars & never missed a beat but i have to admit many (not all) BMW drivers, usually the newer larger models really deserve dragging out & given a proper smacking. They fly round roundabouts turning right without indicating so you think it's clear to pull out then they give it the headlights & horns. They don't seem able to find the indicators but on the odd occasion i lose it they seem to be able to find the central locking button, reverse gear & thier phone in seconds. They talk the talk...idiots! >:(

I think Del and I have set a splendid example of the gentlemanly behaviour of fellow German car drivers.  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Amigo, lol, I have bmw assist on my car so I do not have to lock the car myself, I voice dial their number and they lock it for me.   ;) ;) ;) ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Anyway, I'm back in the Omega tomorrow so I'll be watching out for those dodgy bmw drivers. ;D ;D

Always been a little miffed over this as I own a '52' plate 3.2 Omega Elite and a 2010 '60' plate bmw 330d M Sport Coupe and don't think my manner of driving differs from one car to the other. I always indicate my intentions early and try to be courteous to other drivers regardless of the car I am driving.

I suppose the only thing to change between my cars is the vocabulary. If someone gets in my way in the Omega I shout "get out of my way you idiot" whereas in the beemer I shout "get out of my way you peasant". Only joking.  ;D ;D ;D

Show me the pictures  :y

I'm getting into this thing where German car drivers are all idiots again  ;D

Just for you Del.  :y I'm not big on photo's so this is from my phone. I'll have to post one up of both cars some time. I thought the 3.2 was quick until I got the beemer. Others, be gentle with me, at least I have an Omega as well. ;D ;D
