Omega General Help / PFL and FL V6 exhausts?

Would a pfl v6 exhaust system (mid pipes and rear silencer) fit a fl? In this instance it’s a saloon system obviously for a saloon.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Drivers door mirror issue?

Another problem with my Omega Elite FL. The drivers side door mirror doesn’t appear to adjust. At first I thought it was the motor but recently I’ve discovered that when using the Seat Memory buttons the mirror is indeed moving.  So I assume it must the the switch used to select the side.

My questions are how is the switch removed on the FL? And is it most likely a case of the switch contacts needing cleaned?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / Washer fluid level sensor?

So since I got this car I always have to cancel the “Low Washer Fluid” error that comes up on my CID. I’ve tried a different sensor and it’s still doing the same. Is this a common fault? If so how do I repair?

I’ve done a quick search but getting no hits with washer fluid level used as the parameters of the search.

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / NCDC2013 removal and Board Computer options?

Hi all,

So I wish to replace the NCDC2013 with an aftermarket radio and I am wondering how I can keep the board computer?

I’ve had a quick search through the forum and I see a couple of different options.

Someone mentioned “stuffing the ncdc2013 behind the glove box”…. How exactly is this done? Is it the full HU or is it just the circuitry? Is it simply a matter of separating the non iso section of the plug/wiring harness and moving it?

The other option is a MID. From what I’ve gathered I may need to remove the stalk that currently controls the BC, replace it with a “normal” stalk and also replace the wiper stalk for the MID version? Is this correct and is it really as simple as that or will I need some coding down?

Omega Electrical and Audio Help / S/L Headlight “screwed” in place?

So today whilst I was adjusting the bonnet cable I noticed that there appears to be a dirty big screw  through the outer part of the headlight casing into the full beam “bowl”. Can someone explain as to why this may have been done? Both the headlight motors appear to be working albeit they can actually move the headlights much due to said screw.

Omega General Help / 3.2 Y32se timing belt

I have done a quick search and I can’t find enough info on the correct way to fit a timing belt to these.

I am a mechanic by trade, albeit it’s been 20 odd years since I lifted the tools in anger (by that I mean working on cars everyday), so I like to think I’m competent enough around the tools. However I’ve never done a timing belt on a V6 before and having read little tit bits available here I am seeing that the refitting of the belt and the setting up of the tensioner’s is “fun” with mention of 10deg BTDC etc….

Has anyone on here fitted one with success and is there a better guide available?

Omega General Help / 3.2 on LPG/dual fuel, what spark plugs?

Apologies if I have somehow missed an obvious answer to this. I did try searching but got no “hits” as it were.

So I’ve recently purchased a 3.2 Elite on dual Fuel/lpg and me being me I want to service the car ASAP. Having read a little about lpg I see that it runs hotter than petrol so I’m wondering if standard spark plugs are ok or do I need to run different spark plugs?

Having had a quick flick through the history of the car I see that it had the install done around 2008 and a few times after install it has had standard Vx plugs fitted. But my wee brain is going overtime and I’m wanting to avoid issues so I’m hoping for confirmation from any experienced Mig lpg’ers in here.

Newbie Welcome Area / Kinda noob 3.2 Elite owner

Hi all, so I’ve been on this forum before many years ago. I’ve just recently returned to Omega ownership having just picked up a car that some of you on here will be familiar with formerly owned by @Entwood (apologies I haven’t worked out how to tag other members).

So here she is, a 2001 Elite 3.2 on LPG









She’s now in Northern Ireland and I hope to try and keep her on the road as long as I can.
