I was thinking of Terry a couple of weeks back.  One of life's true gentlemen, kind, helpful, interesting, and clearly willing to both share knowledge and absorb new learnings.

Such sad news. I shall miss his posts, and also his attendance at many of the meets I saw him at.

My thoughts are with his family at this difficult time.

Echoing the thoughts of many on here. Never met him but his posts were great, a proper old-school gentleman mechanic. Always seemed to be getting advice for helping other people rather than himsel, which spoke volumes about the man.

RIP. Do we have any plans for sending something to the family from the OOF? Card and flowers?

I'm very sorry to hear this news.
Like many I enjoyed Terry's posts and he was a very positive contributor to OOF.
He'll be missed greatly.
RIP Terry.

Sad news, I met him at one of the OOF meets, a true gentleman who kept us all entertained with his enthusiasm for all things mechanical. RIP Terry.

There have been times over the last couple of years when Ive been working on a car, feeling worn out,  and thought Im getting too old for this and should pack it in. Then Terry posts on here about maintaining the family fleet have come to mind, so I had a word with myself and kept going.
He was quite an inspirational character.

Some of our best How-to threads were started by Terry getting in slightly over his head and asking for advice. He took the resulting banter well, which is a sign of a class act.

RIP

Very sad to hear this. Terry was always entertaining in his posts and as Migv6 alluded to he seemed to work tirelessly to keep his family fleet going. They will certainly miss him for that. RIP and condolences to his family.

I am very sad to hear of Terry’s passing. As others have said, he was clearly a loving family man, frequently working on family vehicles. My sincere condolences to Tricia and family.
Happy spannering Terry.

Have been forwarded this article:

Terry features in the middle section, and gives a pretty decent summary of who he was.

Excellent link, thanks for posting!

I think his background in vintage printing machinery gave him a good grounding for working on Omegas... :D

This is very sad news.

I had the fortune to meet Terry and his wife earlier this year. Both were lovely people.

RIP Terry and my thoughts are with his wife and family.
