Although I've seen it not throw a P0340, the vast majority I've seen have.  Hand on heart, can't guarantee if the ones that haven't were 2.0 or 2.2.

But always worth reading the TCM, to see why that is raising a code.  If its just (and only just) CAN Receives type errors, then go back to codes in Engine and ABS. Ideally monitor the live data as well :y.  What we don't recommend people do is randomly change items on a whim, including what the OP did by replacing the MAF, just because there was a MAF code.
