Doodah under the OS wing
« on: 24 January 2022, 13:16:38 »

So. In my mission to reduce the ex plod to a pile of dust and holes, I'm stripping the wheelarch.

Theres a Mystery Box (how exciting) up behind the OS headlight, with a great big whacking plug on it. I think this means it is Important and Not To Be Fiddled With.

At the moment I'm cross with it, the two screws holding the bracket on are rusted solid and I've broken my screwdriver bit trying to undo one of them (Halfords Professional, fact fans).

Question is... What is it, what does it do... And do I need it? I'm guessing yes...

The ECU slides in and out of the plastic bracket that you're trying to mullah. Once it's out of the bracket it's much easier to work out how to get the wiring plug off.

All noted, thank you kindly!

I might have to take the bracket off and make one out of stainless because I'm a tart.
