steering wheel hot

under the steering wheel were all the wires are ,just above were your kness are gets very hot ,everything works fine just hot to the touch

any ideas what the problem is  thanks  :y :y :y

When you say "Where the wires are" do you mean the centre section? I am assuming the wires are the radio controls. These should not have power running through them as such. You have me baffled. A new steering wheel from one of our breakers would be a cheap option.

just got back from long drive  with the radio off  big difference in the heat of underside of steering wheel 
any ideas of a fix  thanks  :)
