I tightened mine to 15nm 5 days ago, used 27ml socket (its cast on the cap) and used a new O ring seal as it was leaking slightly. I then decided to convert to a spin on type along with other work I'm doing today.See my post in this regard in General car chat section. Now mine also would not budge, causeing the body to turn finished up drilling the body to take a tommy bar it then released. I think could be the O rings are adhereing or possibly swelling somehow I couldn't believe how it had tightened after a few days my disbelief made me check the torque wrench and sure enough 15NM!!!

Never seen that happen before, have you used a wipe of oil on the rubber seal?

Anyway, Steves is all sorted now, cap off and body re-tightened to the block, new filter and seal fitted and torqued upto 15Nm.

Also sump plug washer sorted to (leaking slightly)

And the weapon of choice for holding the filter body:

One of the best tools I have.

Good for squeezing caliper pistons in, can remove most oil filters etc etc etc
