Didn't realise that £2500 was the current maximum, but to potentially raise it to £10k :o

I like the breakdown of what the fines can be for..

"Level 1 - £200 to £800. Includes unauthorised cycle racing on public ways."

MAMILs beware! ;D

"Level 3 - £1,000 to £4,000. Includes the sale of alcohol to a drunk person or being drunk and disorderly in a public place."

Having a pint down the pub is going to get awful expensive if they're getting £4k fines every five minutes... ;D

There was a lefty barrister ranting about this on the news this morning, saying how 'out of proportion' it all was. I think the point is that magistrates will have the power to levy a fine that really hurts, depending on the offenders circumstances.
£2500, the max, is seldom dished out because most people just can't afford to pay it. But some people would just laugh at it because they are loaded. I'm not sure they're laugh at ten grand.

If 'The Beak' handed me a £10,000 fine, I'd laugh as there's no way I could pay it!  ;D

But you'd probably have exceeded the limit in an omega. I reckon he'd award you something from public funds to get a proper car.

Yeah because a gay Daewoo front wheel drive pretend off road pile of shite is a real "proper" car isn't it. NOT !

In fact, it so "proper" he changes it more often than his underpants at the cost of £500 a pop.

Sound advice from management as usual ::) ;D
