hi all,
my mate at work, his got the above car (4 years old) his engine management light is on and the spanner has lit up and also the emmisions light. performance is a bit sluggish and jerky when accelerating.
any ideas? i initially thought misfire when he mentioned it was jerky under acceleration but any ideas would be appreciated :)

Needs a code reader on it,more than likely a coil gone down

Needs a code reader on it,more than likely a coil gone down
+1 on coil, always going. you can get your hand to the injector wiring on some of them to narrow down which cylinder.

Only if Renault do it :D,pencil coils on those,easy to change once you know which one is fubar :y

and if it is a coil some of the cheap egay ones are crap so beware :y

older models dont have maf, not sure these have, it can be lambda or another .. best try a code reader imo..

if its a v6 it can kick the arse of mega expensive sport cars, and burning it, is really a bad idea Tunnie ::)

Coils are a BIG issue on the Renaults, they need testing correctly with a test plug and if it is at fault, change all four.

A mate of mine had one that nearly did that of its' own accord when he had the audacity to try to use the electric windows one day. ;D
