Bought 5 litre of antifreeze today from vx for £14,and looked in the haynes book on draining the cooling system.It says to open the drain off under the car,and disconnect the heater hose entering the bulkhead.Is this true?,and why would you need to do this,is it so it drains off quicker or summat. :-/

upon reading the manual conversion how to guide by matchless,i noticed he said to get the differential and front propshaft(with anti vibration damper),can anyone tell me if these are essential to have.

Why does my eml flash when i boot it,instead of just staying on.Is it in limp mode,and what do you lot reckon,as the car ran ok again this morning for 5 mins and then spluttering again after accompanied by the flashing eml. :-/

Omega General Help / Really getting me down.

As most of you know my car has been playing up recently.It spluttering through the rev range,and today flashed up 2 more codes which are 0120 and 0220,which i believe relates to the throttle position sensors.Does anyone know how to test these if possible or any other suggestions to the problem,but the other day it was saying misfire on cylinder 3,so stripped it down right to the injecters and couldent see anything,so put back together today and still the same with these 2 new codes.Also like to add,when i try and boot it the eml flashes.HELP!!!!!!!!!.

Omega General Help / Knackered coilpack

Does anyone reckon a totally knackered coilpack could have caused the problem i am having at the moment,as the wells on bank 1-3-5 were full of oil and cylinder 1 plug rusted in the bore.Problem being the lack of power and flashing eml when booting it.Also noticed today when creeping along slow,it will actuall clear for a split second,could it be a fuel problem,as i am out of ideas,and may even condider getting rid of the thing if i dont sort it pretty soon.

After changing the coilpack yesterday,car was running fineuntil 15 mins ago and started doing the same again ie: spluttering and loss of power,and this time a new code 0303 which is cylinder misfire on number 3,but its a brand new coilpack and new plugs.Can anyone shed a bit more light on this for me as i am confused,

As most of you know i already have my eml on due to the pre-cat efficiency being low.Today when pulling off in the car,i noticed it was sluttering a bit,then a few minutes later the eml started to flash for a couple of seconds,is that a warning that you have a new code stored,seeing as you wouldent know anyway because its alredy on.Also done pedal trick again,and discovered a new code(0300),besides pre-cat code,could this be a past code or a new one.

Omega General Help / noise in engine bay

Earlier on i noticed my engine all of a sudden went a bit noisey,i opened the bonnet and it sounded like it was coming from the aux belt.The best way to describe it is like the belt is rubbing on something,and also increases and decreases with engine revs.Any ideas folks,as i am scared now to give it some beans. :-?

Would i be right in saying that if i rip out the pre-cats on my 3.2,it will solve the problem of the eml light coming on. :-/

Does anyone know if the two piece lower lip on the front of the mv6 bumper is the same on the lesser models (facelift by the way).
