No 4G here, But I'm happy enough with the speed i'm getting with THREE, on the 18th of Feb 02:54 Download 24.43Mbps - Upload 1.78Mbps
You sure about that!

3 use HSDPA, and that is good for 42Mbps.

Most Networks use HSDPA (3.5G) which is good for 7.2 Mb or HSDPA+ (3.75G) good for 12 to 21 Mb but rarely get to those sort of speeds in reality.

Three must be offering advanced DC-HSPA+ which is good for 42 Mb in order to get those sort of speeds.

Either that or there using some serious Compression Techniques which are  fooling the Speed Tester into giving non true readings?

Still. it was 3 in the morning, that always helps with download speed testing.  ;)

Aye the time of night was key most likely, It certainly downloaded quick, Hooked up the phones hot spot to the PS4 and it downloaded a 950mb update in around 10 minutes (BT Said about 4 hours to download it :o), and played Netflix quick as in it didn't take an age to clear up to crystal clear picture.

Ignore any results from Okla based speed testers. All providers play silly beggers with it  :-X

Do a proper speedtest

Three do have the generally fastest 3G network out there, just such a shame that their coverage is so piss poor.

I did a speed test on the PS4 last night (while hooked up to the phones hot spot) on the inbuilt speed tester and it was around 14mbps.

Try a test on this one - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/diagnostics

Be interested to see what you get in the Evenings as well as the early hours.

Probably a Okla In built Web App but I find it normally gives true'ish results.

Rather pointless until O2 remove thumb from backside, and start deploying it. Not that my phone can do O2 4G.

I think my time with NiffNaff is fast running to an end, due to inability to use data in most areas.

Really? O2's  coverage is pretty good here, i never get no data signal, occasionally it drops out of 3G

Yet they have good coverage in your local area... Far better than any other network :-X ::)

TBH, I've found 3 to have very good coverage, certainly as good as O2. Although admittedly in different areas

O2 is ok in Brackley. Better than in Not Reading.

NiffNaff 2G data mostly doesn't work. Outside of the big towns, O2's 3G is non existent.

That said, I was running some speed tests on NiffNaff earlier today on 3G in Milton Keynes earlier today, when I was with some friends. The only 2 tests that completed gave a ping on 1.1s, 0.04Mb and 5.5s ping, 0.2Mb. On 3G :o. I couldn't get a 2G speedtest to complete.
