Ignore any results from Okla based speed testers. All providers play silly beggers with it  :-X

Do a proper speedtest

Three do have the generally fastest 3G network out there, just such a shame that their coverage is so piss poor.

Yet they have good coverage in your local area... Far better than any other network :-X ::)

TBH, I've found 3 to have very good coverage, certainly as good as O2. Although admittedly in different areas
3 has the same coverage in this town as all the other networks bar Vodafone (actually, O2's is slightly better due to the lower frequency). Vodafone are idiots, putting their 2 masts in Brackley down in the valley.

I do not need that level of data/texts/mins.

I mostly use, on NiffNaff, their £7.50 Goodybag - 250Mb, unlimited txt, 200 mins. Data can get tight, so if I know I'm going to be away in a month, I go for their £10 one (more mins, 1Gb data).

Virgin is one I'm looking at, so interested in how you find rural data. Also, how reliable is 2G data on T-Mobile? Slow, or simply doesn't work often?

I have no complaints, but that said I tend to use the browser in a handful of regular places :-\

Next time you find yourself in a non 3G area, I'd be interested how reliable your data is on 2G :y

I did a speed test on the PS4 last night (while hooked up to the phones hot spot) on the inbuilt speed tester and it was around 14mbps.

Try a test on this one - http://www.bbc.co.uk/iplayer/diagnostics

Be interested to see what you get in the Evenings as well as the early hours.

Probably a Okla In built Web App but I find it normally gives true'ish results.

Doesn't work on iPhone browser that link mate
Probably a Java App that wont work on the the iGayPhone, can you tether it?

PS4 doesn't have a flash player, Not sure about Java, Either way didn't work on there either. I'll try on the laptop sometime.

gayStations with BD playback should have Java, as Sony based gayRay on Java. Mainly because Sony are idiots.

Actually, phony may artificially knobble interpreters and JIT compilers. So that would explain why it can't run anything. crApple are as bad.

Thought I'd share this, Took this screen shot at the time indicated on the picture in town today, 5 bars (well 5 balls or circles) signal. I know you say these are inaccurate but i don't have anything else on the phone it's self to check the speeds, Will try and get it hooked up to the laptop at some point though and use that iPlayer tester..  :y
